Guests are encouraged to incorporate these techniques in their lifestyles upon discharge from Alpha Healing Center.
Stress Management
The mind and emotional states are recognized factors in stress and stress-related disorders. A variety of holistic approaches such as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, yoga, meditation, and relaxation have been shown to relax and quiet the mind to relieve muscle tension and facilitate inner harmony. This positively affects a range of physiological processes, such as lowering blood pressure and reducing overall arousal and emotional reactivity generated by stress.
Music and Art Therapy
These are expressive art forms designed to help the individual move into harmony and balance. Through the use of music and art, individuals explore emotional, spiritual and behavioral issues. Musical and artistic skills are not necessary, as the process, rather than technique, is emphasized.
